Betty Harvey’s book launch

On the 10th April 2016, a large crowd of friends, family from Bendigo and Whittlesea U3A members gathered at Mill Park library to see the launch of Betty Harvey’s third book in the Edward’s adventure series. In total, there are approximately sixty stories that Edward has had with his risk-taking sister and friends. The books are enjoyed by both young and older readers as they follow his antics.

Barry Carozzi was once again the MC for the day. He has carried out this task for all three books and did a magnificent job in keeping the audience entertained.

It was also Councillor Rex Griffin’s third time to launch this latest book of the series into the public domain. The Federal Member for Scullin, Andrew Giles MP, Federal Member for McEwen and the President of the Whittlesea Chinese Association, Regina Huning and several of her association members were also special guests in attendance. Karen Mace read an excerpt from the book, delighting the audience with one of Edward’s adventures.

Betty received a beautiful floral display made by Diana Hong, who also teaches floral art for the Whiittlesea U3A. Our talented Bev Moore, once again recorded the events.

Lastly, Betty made a short speech thanking everyone for their support and to the Mill Park Library for making the space available.
