Whittlesea U3A congratulates Jan Macdonald, on being awarded 2015 International Women’s Day – “Make it Happen” Award.

Jan was one of the original Whittlesea U3A tutors in 2002.During the time Jan was in Whittlesea U3A Inc she was a committee member, tutor, member and enjoyed joining in many activities. Jan also found time to volunteer with Whittlesea Community Connections. Jan has been an ambassador for Whittlesea U3A Inc and many members have been the recipient of her expertise. We wish to congratulate her on her Award.

 

 

Jan was honoured as a City Of  Whittlesea 2015 International Women’s Day Award Recipient at a Celebration Lunch held on March 13th 2015 at the Council Buildings in South Morang Victoria.

Jan’s Nomination read:-

Jan has worked with Whittlesea Community Connections for over seven years.

She conducts English classes as a volunteer for newly arrived people.

Jan helps students by delivering donated goods through this class.

She hosts events like Xmas party at her home to welcome newly arrived people.
