Knitters Group update

The Knitters Group is a new Whittlesea U3A activity but they have achieved marvellous feats in such a short time!

IMG_0851Report from Coral on the activity 19 August 2015

About We had 14 women and myself knitting today. We have had some wonderful Beanies and Scarves knitted from our last meeting. It is lovely to sit knit and chat for 2 hours plus enjoy tea and coffee. We have so far sent to Meals on the Bridge Lifeline Inc (run by Plenty Valley Christian Church) 17 Scarves and  out 29 Beanies.  Also sent 24 Beanies to the Austin Hospital Spinal Unit and have knitted also 50 Beanies for the Juvenile Diabetics Research.
