The November 2015 Yarram tour.
Day 1 Depart pick up points and travel via Tooradin onto the Korumburra Railway Station and Refreshment Rooms. Enjoy a trip down memory lane on one of Adelaide’s “Red Hen” Diesel Rail Motor Trains from Korumburra to Leongatha, arriving at 12 noon. Re-join the coach and travel to Inverloch, travel through Meeniyan and Foster seeing the views of Wilsons Promontory before arriving in Yarram and our comfortable motel. Time to freshen up in our rooms before a delicious dinner in the motel restaurant.
Day 2 Enjoy a cooked breakfast before we join the coach and travel to Wilson Promontory National Park to take in the scenery on our way to Tidal River. Enjoy a short nature walk before re-joining the coach and returning to Foster where you can purchase lunch at your own expense. Continue past Toora to Port Welshpool and then onto Yarram close to the Tarra-Bulga National Park. Enjoy Devonshire Tea at Eilean Donan Gardens before returning to our motel to freshen up before dinner in the motel restaurant.
Day 3 Enjoy another breakfast before we travel via Traralgon through the Moondarra State Park and onto Walhalla. A stroll along Main St viewing old buildings and relics including Spetts Cottage and Windsor House. Travel onto Rawson before returning to the motel for a farewell dinner.
Day 4 A final (hopefully) delicious breakfast before we travel via Fish Creek & Buffalo following the old railway line. Head to Korumburra via the South Gippsland Hwy then into the Strzelecki Ranges and onto Mirboo North. Travel down the mountain to the Princes Highway and the Yarragon Arts and Craft Centre. Time to stroll among the shops and buy afternoon tea before returning home arriving at our departure point late afternoon or early evening.
