Where did that go?

Whatever happens to files / folders that are deleted accidentally or on purpose?   In most cases they end up in the        (Recycle Bin).

Option 1:   Deleting Files to the Recycle Bin

 

Windows has a special folder called Recycle Bin which is used primarily to hold the deleted files/folders. This then allows you to restore any file/folder that has been deleted accidentally.

Select the file/folder to be deleted, then click the RIGHT (secondary) mouse button and select the              option and you will be prompted with the following warning message:

 

 

If you are sure that you want to delete the files/folders, click           

 

Option 2:   Deleting Files/Folders Permanently

To delete files/folders permanently, simply hold down the  key while you perform either of the two options shown for ‘Deleting Files to the Recycle Bin’, and you will be prompted with the following warning message:

 

 

 

If you are sure that you want to delete the files/folders, click           

NOTES:   

1.  If deleting files / folders to make room on your disc drive use Option 2

2.  When deleting from flash drives, files will be permanently deleted
