Whittlesea U3A Inc. Hand Embroidery Class.

This class may not be the biggest one, but it is very productive and everyone has a lot of fun producing very good work.

Maggie Antram is the very talented tutor for this class with many years’ experience.

The ladies in the class,some of whom were beginners when they first joined, have all come in leaps and bounds.

The class is held every Wednesday afternoon from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm at the Lakeside Meeting Room in South Morang,

Whilst the activity is titled Hand Embroidery, we touch on many mediums using different materials and threads, such as:

Hand Feting, Felting Beads, Crazy Patchwork, Wool Embroidery, Beading, Ribbon Embroidery, Surface Stitchery and all of these with lots of Embellishing.

Some of the projects produced are; Pin cushions, Needle books, Tot bags, Felt bags, Baby blankets, Fabric books, Christmas stockings, Sewing hussifs, and Stitch books.

At the moment, many more projects are either being discussed or are at the planning stage.

We are an enthusiastic group with a common interest and we welcome new members who would like to join us and share our love of handcraft.
