Well here I am tonight Share a Meal. I’ve gotten all dressed up and looking good too!. I’m at the head of the table, sitting with fourteen other U3A members, all looking very smart and with great conversations all going on at one time.
The table is buzzing! We all shared a little about ourselves, and what an exciting group we are, and I was so excited, tonight I received my Whittlesea U3A tag and lanyard, and I am number 17000! Gloria and Leonie have made a delicious meal with the Chinese New Year in mind. The Table runner with lovely little paper lanterns, all lit up, red and yellow colours everywhere. Paper fish and other table decorations, everything shines. Chopsticks’ with a fortune cookie to finish off the night, how fantastic it all looks. The appealing entrees and appetizers, again with the Chinese New Year in mind, were too delicious for me to ignore, I was filling up quickly. Then along comes the main meal of fried rice with some yummy stir fry meat and vegetables to choose from too.
Well, just when I’m ready to go home to have the sleep this little bear needs, this portly bear receives a dessert of Panacotta with Strawberries, strawberry coolie and fresh cream to top it off. Soo enjoyable! I’ve had a very happy time talking to the members of our Thursday night diners.
Everyone was happy to go home knowing we’ll all meet again next month to enjoy great memories, when sharing a meal again with Gloria, Leonie and my new friends.
